TRILIGHT apartment

This apartment is designed for a couple beginning a new chapter in Singapore, who gave us a brief for a home that was to reflect their lifestyle and design features of their previous home in the US. We explored the concept of timelessness, calmness and spatial connectivity using a neutral material palette throughout the home. Rather than individual isolated areas, a large open-planned kitchen, living, and dining area creates a sense of spaciousness. Vertical timber screens along windows help soften sunlight entering the bedrooms and bathrooms, whilst also adding an additional layer of privacy and tranquility from the urban cityscape. The choice of materiality and design simplicity results in a home that is grounded in quiet confidence.
